GBTS Support Computer Science Engineer

For one of our aerospace customers, TXT is looking for a Ground Based Training Systems (GBTS) Support Computer Science Engineer.

GBTS is made of:

Computer Based Training (CBT) for the training of pilots and maintainers;

Simulation Based Training (SBT) for the procedural training of pilots;

Flight Training Device (FTD) for pilot training;

Mission Planning and Debriefing Station (MPDS) to support both students and instructors in the planning and debriefing phases;

Virtual Maintenance Training (VMT) for the training of maintainers.

Main responsibilities:
Recording and communication of SW snag/bugs regardin all GBTS components;

Coordination with Customer regarding the preparation of new SW releases;

Network administration;

Performance monitoring and configuration of the LAN and related components;

Data back-up execution periodically;

Service Pack installation provided by Customer;

Specific tests for fault isolation / troubleshooting purposes;
Support for the drafting of Operating Manuals;

Reporting of the activities performed and the problems encountered.

Requirements:
Very good command as computer system administrator;

Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems;

Knowledge of SQL applications;

Knowledge of computer networks L2 and L3;

Knowledge of C, C ++ programming languages;

Ability to perform simple hardware repairs;

Troubleshooting skills of IT problems;
Good knowledge of Office Suite;

Good team work member.

Degree required: Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Similar.
